I got second runner up in the open category for the American Sheep Industry Photo Contest 2011!! My photo is the 7th one with the sheep in black and white.

So far, “training” a chipmunk seems much easier than training a dog. In just three days and some sunflower seeds, I was able to get this little guy to nibble off of my foot while I took pictures. Chippy even climbed up on my leg today. I have gotten several great photos of the little fur ball.
The spreading of birdseed over the garden has also attracted another chipmunk-one who I think (due to scars and chubbiness) is much older than the one I have befriended. At first I was a little worried about bears coming around, but the tiny rodents clean up all evidence of seeds within a couple hours. No time for bears!

Horses love GoPro cameras too! I have recently been exploring the many uses of my GoPro HD Helmet Hero. Mainly, I use it in the winter for skiing, but now that the snow is gone, I’m looking for new ways. Biking videos came out cool, and tomorrow I will be experimenting with kayaking. I’m so happy it’s waterproof, I have been wanting to take my Nikon D60 out on the river but its just to risky.
The wide-angle-fisheye type lens is great for animal close ups. In this photo, I did some minor tweaking with black and white and contrast. I really wish his entire nose made it in the photo!
